The range of the Spine west of the Plain of Fear is home to a massive clan of Duergar called the Ul’vol, which is the upper, more civilized kingdom. The lower kingdom Ull’vok fell years ago and the Duergar there went mad and became the Derro. They are a theocracy ruled by the Hierophant Zadrix who speaks for the Duergar idol Emerot, the God of Nightmares.
The Ul’vol have marginal dealings with the Shpikesi gnomes.
